Tickets for 2026–27 Chamber Music Series performances are not included in a standard season subscription. They may be purchased separately as part of a Chamber Music Series subscription or as individual tickets.
The rising stars of the Isidore String Quartet join MacArthur Fellow Jeremy Denk for an evening of fearless musicianship, magnetic chemistry and chamber music at its most compelling.
Isidore String Quartet
The New York City–based Isidore String Quartet, winner of the 14th Banff International String Quartet Competition in 2022 and recipient of an Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2023, is committed to rediscovering and reinvigorating the string quartet repertoire.
Formed at the Juilliard School in 2019 and coached by members of the Juilliard String Quartet, the ensemble carries forward Juilliard’s tradition of “approaching the established as if it were brand new, and the new as if it were firmly established.” That philosophy continues to shape the quartet’s curiosity-driven exploration of both canonical and contemporary works.
The Isidore String Quartet has been praised for a sound that is refined, flexible and intensely communicative.

Jeremy Denk
Jeremy Denk is one of America’s foremost pianists, celebrated for his vivid imagination, intellectual depth and distinctive wit.
He has performed frequently at Carnegie Hall and appeared with many of the nation’s leading orchestras, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, New York Philharmonic and San Francisco Symphony. His recent touring has taken him to major cities across North America, including New York, Los Angeles, Seattle and Austin.
Denk is especially known for his interpretations of the music of American visionary Charles Ives. In celebration of the 150th anniversary of the composer’s birth, Nonesuch Records released a collection of Denk’s Ives recordings in 2024. His 2021 album of Mozart piano concertos was hailed by BBC Radio 3 as “urgent and essential.”
Also an acclaimed writer, Denk is known for his perceptive and engaging commentary on music. His memoir, Every Good Boy Does Fine, became a New York Times bestseller following its publication in 2022. He is the recipient of both the MacArthur ‘Genius’ Fellowship and the Avery Fisher Prize, and is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
It is heartening to know that chamber music is in good hands with such gifted young ensembles as the Isidore Quartet.
