Gravity & Other Myths acrobats will lead a hands-on introduction to partner acrobatics. Designed for participants ages 13 and up at beginner to intermediate skill levels, the workshop introduces the fundamentals of partner balancing, lifts and simple human pyramids in a fun, supportive environment. Instructors will tailor activities to the skill level and enthusiasm of the group, creating a safe and engaging experience that builds confidence, teamwork and trust while encouraging participants to try something new.

This workshop is free and open to the public.

Students from the Auburn University Biomechanical Engineering (AUBE) Lab, led by associate professor Michael Zabala, will collaborate with Gravity & Other Myths acrobats to demonstrate advanced motion-capture technology—live on the Marentes Stage. This interactive workshop will explore how engineers measure, visualize and analyze the movements of elite acrobatic performers using optical and wearable motion-capture systems. Attendees will see firsthand how performers are prepared with markers and sensors and how movement data is captured in real time.
